God was More Important than Country
When Did Ending Pregnancies Become Such a Big Deal? I did some digging.

Backstory — I paid to shove an idea in people’s faces, which if we’re honest, is all Twitter is for. Everyone signs up believing they’ll do the shoving. Few make it to that promised land of influencing. Most who do are just rich.
“Just woke up from a nap!” is the kind of thing friends would report in the halcyon days of oughtsix. I didn’t want to share my thoughts with the world but stuck around to have my mind occupied by others (because, well, like everyone else, I was lonely. Ha! We had no idea what lonely was in the oughts! “Just wait til Covid,” we’d tell our younger selves. “What’s a covid?” our younger selves would reply.)
And, 17,000 people gave me access to their heads. 10,000 of those 17,000 gave me access to their willpower and tapped/clicked (“ticked”, new tern) on my poll.
Most of these 10,000 people voted that God was more important than country. That, logically, is a huge deal. Logical people know that doesn’t make sense. That cannot, practically, be true. Emotional people don’t know or don’t care that it doesn’t “make sense” because, well, THEY’RE EMOTIONAL AND HAVE ALREADY MOVED ON!!
Grow too emotional and you become too busy for reason. Be calm. Think it through. Instead of freaking out about RBG’s seat, use your energy to reach out to REAL women in these states. What are their numbers, really? Maybe they’re just flat outnumbered. In which case, yeah, as the electoral college goes, so “potentially” goes supreme court nominees.
But why does anyone think Roe v. Wade will get overturned? It cannot, logically. Anyone thought that through yet? Forget handmaid’s tale and other creative stories, we need to hold real world old men to their illogical arguments for why a woman, of “sound mind” loses her freedom. Period. End of sentence.
